The Phillies' minor league affiliates continued an early season trend of only notching one win across the organization per night. The R-Phils brought home the victory for the organization on Saturday.

The wait for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs first win continues, as they lost to the Richmond Braves, 5-3. The Iron Pigs are now 0-10 to start the season. Joe Bisenius received a blown save and the loss in relief, allowing four earned runs in one-third of an inning. Bisenius’ ERA is 10.38 on the season.

The Reading Phillies notched their first win at home, with a 5-2 victory over the Altoona Curve. Fabio Castro pitched a second masterful outing of the season, allowing one hit and striking out nine over seven shutout innings.

The Clearwater Threshers lost to the Lakeland Tigers, 5-4 as the Tigers scored a run in the top of the ninth to break a 4-4 tie. Threshers third baseman Welinson Baez continued to struggle offensively to start the year, going 0-for-4 in the game and hitting .156 for the season.

The Lakewood BlueClaws lost to the Delmarva Shorebirds, 2-1. Michael Taylor played leftfield for the BlueClaws and went 1-for-3 in the losing cause. Taylor is hitting .364 on the season.
