Wright Hopes Blazers' Depth Is the Right Fit

He has a condo rented in Lake Oswego, jersey No. 4, a long relationship with the general manager and a role as a veteran presence off the Trail Blazers' bench. Now all Dorell Wright has to do is follow it with performance. That's what Portland GM Neil Olshey fully expects after signing the 6-9 small forward to a two-year, $6 million free-agent contract this summer. Wright has plenty of cred. At 27, he is entering his 10th NBA season, having signed with the Miami Heat straight out of high school as the 19th pick in the 2004 draft. During a Tuesday phone interview from his native Los Angeles, Wright says he has had an "awesome summer, but my family and I are excited about heading up to Portland and getting started."
