Asking Your Son to Hold a Beer Will Get You Kicked out of Arizona Cardinals Game

Asking your son to hold your beer for a second joins things like getting in a fight and streaking on the field as actions that will get you kicked out of an Arizona Cardinals game.

Busted Coverage happened upon this peculiar story of a fan who claims to have merely asked his son to hold his beer for a moment, a request that got him and his 15-year-old kid booted from the stadium.

According to the video report from USA Today, John Coulter took his son to the recent preseason game between the Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

As many of you know, the Cardinals won the game 12-7. Unfortunately, Coulter and his son never saw it, because they were too busy trying to figure out what the hell just happened.

AZ Central had a bit more on the situation. Right after kickoff, Coulter wanted to take a picture to commemorate watching the Cowboys and Cardinals play in a meaningless game.

The only problem was that he was holding onto a beer. Well, it's a good thing he procreated, because his son was there to hold his adult beverage.

We presume that's when some police scanners began to fire up with "Swarm, swarm, swarm!" According to the report, two observant (bored?) undercover officers with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control squashed the relatively benign scene before them.

Before we continue, we have nothing but one man's word against police officers wanting to stave off underage drinking at the stadium.

Perhaps Coulter was rip-roaring drunk and was pouring shots into his son's mouth as he yelled, "Chug!" Although, that hardly seems to be the case, as Coulter mentions he initially thought this was a prank being pulled on him.

The AZ Central video report does conclude that underage drinking has been a problem at the stadium. However, officials are looking into the allegations that the undercover cops were overzealous in their measures.

Perhaps Coulter should have just placed the drink on the ground. Then again, who would ever imagine getting kicked out of a game for merely asking your son to hold a cup for all of a few moments?

Well, you Cardinals fans better think about it, or you may miss the games that do matter.
