Ducks' Goose Cooked After 5-2 Loss to Stars; Leave for Dallas Down 2 in Series

With Game 2 said and done and in the books it becomes apparent that if the Anaheim Ducks did read my previous article of what needed to be done to win Game 2, nothing went the right way for them.

Over the years I have watched (and listened) to a great many Playoff games but tonight's felt like one of those games where you knew the score wasn't a reflection of how close the teams really were. Although Dallas jumped out to a powerful 2 goal lead and it began to feel like Game 1 again, Anaheim worked through it and got back into a tied game at 2-2. The bullet for the Ducks would yet again be the penalty kill where Dallas would score a go ahead goal from Mike Modano and would only build on this lead to the final 5-2 score.

At the end of the day I'm afraid I have to point the finger at Jiggy. He has yet to be his normal stellar self. To be honest, he hasn't been the same since he got hurt the final weeks of the season. If Jiggy, the Defense and the offence don't start clicking for the Ducks this series is over.

As for the Stars they played an aggressive game and again were able to get the Ducks into penalty trouble (not to the degree of game 1, but still). Yet again the hero for the game is Marty Turco. He has truly been stellar so far this playoffs and his play in Dallas will determine if this series ends in four games or not.
