FT: Chelsea 2-1 Aston Villa. We're not supposed to have that sort of intensity, nevermind controversy, so early in the season! Cracking match, but Villa have reason to feel aggrieved. They were worth a point, tonight. Once again, the Ivanovic match-winner...
Sam sees it differently...
Looked like handball from Terry in CFC area. Mourinho in such a frenzy on the touchline that he's adopting the AVB crouch— Sam Wallace (@SamWallaceIndy) August 21, 2013
Not sure you can give a penalty for that. Terry jumped up into a challenge carelessly, and the ball hit his flailing arm as he lost balance. But it would have been a very harsh pen.
90+3' Paul Lambert furious! Thought he saw a Chelsea handball. Terry the culprit.
90+2' Ramires with an ill-advised back-pass to Cech, and Agbonlahor quite nearly pounces. But Chelsea may have done just enough.
90' Hazard, who seems to get faster as the match goes on, rushes back into his own half of the park to nick the ball off Lowton.
Villa are throwing everything at Chelsea now, but they've sacrificed their shape. Meanwhile, at the other end, Lukaku circles menacingly...— Iain Macintosh (@iainmacintosh) August 21, 2013
86' Cech forced into making a spectacular save on Weimann, who hit it on the half-volley! That might have been it for Villa.
85' Chelsea back up to 71% possession and have taken 12 shots, although only three have hit the target. Villa are winning 54% of the aerial battles though, according to WhoScored.com.
83' Van Ginkel replaces Oscar for Chelsea.
83' Lukaku played into decent space in front of goal by Oscar but has his shot blocked by Vlaar.
82' Tonev replaces El Ahmadi for Aston Villa.

And the Ivanovic goal...
Benteke ends up getting booked for that latest collision with Ivanovic. This is the incident that saw Ivanovic receive a yellow card. Should it have been red?
75' Ivanovic brings Benteke to ground again. Those two continue to go at it. Once again Ivanovic can consider himself very lucky.
2-1: All Villa's good work undone by some very timid marking for that free-kick. Great header from Ivanovic— Sam Wallace (@SamWallaceIndy) August 21, 2013
73' GOAL CHELSEA!!! Ivanovic, who arguably shouldn't even be on the pitch, heads Lampard's free kick into goal!
71' The resulting free kick causes Chelsea all kinds of problems, but Lampard is on hand for the last-ditch clearance.
70' Getting chippy now. Mourinho wanted Benteke booked for a foul on Ivanovic; now Ivanovic gets a yellow card for a foul on Benteke.
The Angry One's back, Mourinho berating referee Kevin Friend— Rob Harris (@RobHarris) August 21, 2013
65' Lukaku has replaced Ba and Schurrle has come on for Mata. Meanwhile, El Ahmadi has gone into the book for a foul on Mata just before the Spaniard was withdrawn.
