Manchester United are looking to add to their current roster, and Mesut Ozil is one of the players who David Moyes should target.
After finishing in first place of the English Premier League last season, the Red Devils are still looking to improve their roster.
As the defending Premier League champions, the Red Devils don't appear to have to make a big move. However, they don't want to be complacent with their success and not improve the roster.
Here is a list of players the Red Devils should target.
He isn't the team's first choice, but he would still be a good addition to the team.
The attacking midfielder can make plays all over the field by using his vision.
United doesn't need a big-time scorer, but Ozil can score from deep. If teams leave him open, he can hurt them with his scoring ability from distance.
The club is looking to replace Paul Scholes, and Ozil would be a good replacement. He can handle the ball and set up his teammates, so Moyes should pursue Ozil.
David Anderson of Mirror Football reported that Moyes has shown interest in Geoffrey Kondogbia. He currently plays for Sevilla, but he would leave for the right team.
The Red Devils are looking for a midfielder, so going after Kondogbia makes sense.
He always seems to know what to do on the field and can help strengthen United's roster. The 20-year-old has shown a lot of promise and can get even better.
Kondogbia has good vision and can play good defense, which is his strength. United would be getting someone who can stymie an opponent's scoring chances and help the team start an attack of their own.
Sevilla, according to Anderson, doesn't want to lose Kondogbia. The Red Devils would have to be willing to commit money and playing time to the midfielder if they go this route.
Marouane Fellaini, who plays for Everton, could be on the move. If he is, Moyes would be wise to go after him.
The 25-year-old can do many things to help his team win games. He is willing to sacrifice his body in order to get the ball. He can go up and get the ball, or he can knock the ball away from an opponent with a well-timed tackle.
At 6'4", Fellaini is able to use his size to get the ball. He is the type of player that United should target because he gives it his all.
He would give the Red Devils a force in the middle of the field, which is something the team is looking to add.
Fellaini isn't the most skilled offensive player, but he can help United. Moyes has lost out on several players this year, however, Fellaini wouldn't be a bad alternative to get for midfield.
