Grant Balfour Is So Awesome Even His F-Bombs Are Amazing

Earmuffs, everybody.

Guyism's A. Issac came across the following video of two baseball announcers thoroughly enjoying the auditory grenade of brilliance lobbed by Grant Balfour during Saturday's Oakland A's game.

The video below does contain some NSFW language, specifically one hilarious F-bomb that nearly ruins the broadcast.

With the Blue Jays leading 5-3 in the eighth, Balfour throws to Toronto's Adam Lind. With one out, the first pitch is a little high, bringing the count to 1-0.

At least, that is how a sane person would see the situation. A passionate competitor like Balfour apparently felt he just lost the entire season on that one pitch lobbed in early August, because he belted out everyone's favorite curse word loud enough for the on-field microphone to pick up.

This is the kind of stuff that happens all the time. Some MLB and NBA fans might be used to the sound of a game dropping off from time to time as an athlete assesses the action with language far too colorful for the kiddies in the audience.

Sometimes, the words float past the censors like subtle clouds of awesome, giving fans a rare chuckle. Well, professional announcers are no different.

Things turned around for Balfour during this particular at-bat because he ended up striking out Lind en route to a perfect eighth inning

Not that it mattered, because the A's would ultimately drop the game, 5-4.

As for the 35-year-old closer, he can shout whatever he wants because he is having one F-bombing great season. Through Monday, Balfour has 30 saves, 53 strikeouts, a 1.07 WHIP and just one blown save.

Just be sure to mute your television the second he throws one high.
