August is a beautiful time of the year when every fan believes their team is headed to the BCS National Championship Game, the new quarterback is a surefire Heisman Trophy winner, and those new coaches on staff are significant upgrades from their predecessors.

One Tennessee fan took his enthusiasm to a whole new level.

A song written by John Cave Osborne appeared on Monday on AllVolYall.com cleverly titled "The Butch Jones Song," complete with commentary on Phillip Fulmer's time on Rocky Top, Derek Dooley jokes, the failed one-year Lane Kiffin experiment and the "Third Saturday in October" matchup with Alabama.

The result was spectacular. Or tragic. Or both.

Is this song written with tongue firmly planted in cheek, as Osborne suggests?

@BarrettSallee Barrett -- YES, i wrote it, and it was obviously written w/ tongue FIRMLY planted in cheek. did you ever see Grudemonium Vid?

I hope so, because it isn't exactly the most creative songwriting of all time. At least work some variation of "Rocky Top" in there or something.

Arkansas typically has the fan song market cornered, but this threatens the title.

How does "The Butch Jones Song" stack up to "I'm a Bielemer," Liz Honey's ode to Bret Bielema, and even Texas A&M's hit "Aggie Swag?"

It certainly joins the conversation and could be the leader in the clubhouse.

What do you think of the latest addition into the SEC jukebox? Grammy Award-worthy, or should the Vols go back to the drawing board? Let us know in the comments below.
