Wednesday has been the busiest day of the week yet for transfer rumours about players coming in and out of Chelsea Football Club.
The first big news of the day comes from John Cross at The Mirror, who states that Barcelona will not be chasing after center-back David Luiz or Daniel Agger of Liverpool anymore.
The next big piece of news comes from The Guardian's Daniel Taylor, who has reported that Manchester United will not sell Wayne Rooney at any cost this summer.
According to the report, the decision by the United ownership is irreversible, and it looks like Chelsea's quest for a striker will not end with Rooney donning a blue kit this season.
Speaking of forwards, West Ham will be making a surprise run at Demba Ba in an attempt to bring him back to Upton Park, according to Darren Lewis of The Mirror.
This is a move that seems a bit peculiar, especially after the Hammers signed Andy Carroll on a permanent basis from Liverpool earlier in the summer.
If Ba were to be offloaded across London to West Ham, it would leave Chelsea with very few pure forwards in their squad.
Luckily for the Blues, Samuel Eto'o could very well still be in their sights, as reported by Jamie Johnson of The Guardian.
Johnson claims that the Blues are ready to submit a £5 million bid for the Anzhi forward, who is on the verge of an exit from the Russian club.
