It looks like celebrity Maria Menounos is returning to WWE once again, this time at SummerSlam for an angle revolving around new reality show Total Divas.

As Diva-Dirt notes, WWE Diva Natalya has invited the best-selling author to be her special guest at the pay-per-view next Sunday. Likely selling a storyline, The Bella Twins, Nicole and Brie, weren't too happy about this and said so.

Interestingly, Menounos indicated on Twitter that she has been undergoing wrestling training recently, commenting on how tough it was.

Menounos, a lifelong wrestling fan, has made numerous appearances for WWE over the years.

She's wrestled on three occasions, most famously in a tag team match at last year's WrestleMania, and performed admirably each time.

Even with her with limited in-ring training, the Extra host is still a notch above full-time Divas like Rosa Mendes or Aksana. She's co-ordinated, doesn't botch and can get fans into a match. There really aren't too many celebrities you can say that about when they get into the ring for a one-off appearance.

Menounos' most recent appearance for the company was at this year's Hall of Fame when she inducted real-life friend Bob Backlund. Embarrassingly, Menounos' speech was booed vociferously by the rowdy crowd at Madison Square Garden, something that left management seething, as F4Wonline, via Wrestlinc Inc, reported at the time.

Admittedly, Menounos' speech was rather long and she did ramble at points, but it still wasn't very gracious of the spectators in attendance to treat a woman that is, by all accounts, a true WWE fan so shoddily.

As for what the star will do at SummerSlam?

Well, a tag team match between Natalya and Menounos (the babyfaces) taking on The Bella Twins (heels) at the show would seem to be the most likely, and sensible, option.

Presumably we will hear more about this angle on Monday's Raw.
