Niese Says He 'Should Be Ready' to Return Sunday

Jonathon Niese rejoined the Mets on Wednesday and pronounced himself ready to be activated from the disabled list Sunday to face the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix. Niese made his third rehab start Tuesday, this time with Double-A Binghamton. He logged five innings and tossed 80 pitches. The southpaw estimated he could throw about 95 pitches in his major league return.
