NBA Podcast: 2013-14 Orlando Magic Season Preview

Joel C. Cordes@@bballJoelNBA Associate EditorAugust 7, 2013

The Orlando Magic's end game means they probably won't win many this season.

As a sneaky-good NBA League Pass darling, the Magic's youngsters like Victor Oladipo, Moe Harkless, Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris are going to be fun to watch develop. Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo and Glen Davis are all easy veterans to root for too.

Yet, the bench is still in flux, this young team will be overmatched and outgunned on most evenings and losing streaks might all too easily balloon out of control, as they did last season.

This campaign will be about deciding who has real star potential, which players can at least be valuable rotation cogs and who's nothing more than a trade asset. With a stacked draft class around the corner, it will be good to be bad for one more year in Orlando.

Lead Writer Jonathan Wasserman joins NBA Assistant Editors Ethan Norof and Joel C. Cordes for the latest episode of Basketball by Association.

We look at the best and worst of the Magic's offseason, along with the biggest questions heading into 2014. We'll also detail their keys to a successful year while predicting their final standing.
