2009 San Diego Padres Analysis

The 2009 San Diego Padres have hit rock bottom. Once proud owners of a 9-3 solid start, The Friars have become the worst team in baseball. Before the season began, I predicted a 40-122 record for San Diego, based on what I felt was probably the least talented overall roster in Padre history.

My low expectations have sadly been exceeded.

I would love nothing more than to be able to say good things about my team,as I have been a fan since since 1976. But a rock is a rock, and objectivity is the only way to get better.

Jake Peavy and Adrian Gonzalez are wasted on this team right now. As a Padre fan, this could not be more frustrating to me. Watching my franchise, that had finally gained a measure of respectability during the last 25 years fall so far, is just sad.

Inside, we will take a look at every player on the Padres current roster, and what they have contributed (or not) so far. There is no where for the Padres to go but up at this point.
