Thailand XI vs. Barcelona: Preseason Friendly Live Score, Highlights, Recap
Thailand XI 1-7 Barcelona
Barcelona thrashed an enthusiastic, but ultimately sub-par, Thailand XI 7-1 as they stepped up their preseason preparations.
Neymar scored his first Blaugrana goal with a simple tap-in in the 13th minute, and from there the floodgates opened: Messi (2), Pedro (3) and Alexis Sanchez notched as the Spaniards raced into a commanding lead, with Thailand's only reply coming from Dangda converting a penalty just before halftime.
The second half was all about possession, and Barca flexed their strength in depth with a flurry of substitutions. Samuel Eto'o academy products Frank Bagnack and Jean Marie Dongou, along with Sergio Roberto, were all given significant game time.
Barca have one final stop in Malaysia before taking on Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana on August 21.
Barca win 7-1, that was pretty easy. Thanks for joining us for the coverage and stay tuned for post-match reaction from B/R!
89'—In a final flurry, Thailand make their way down the left and force Pinto into an uncomfortable save. The corner...doesn't even leave the ground.
83'—Thailand have dropped into deep banks of four and five, conceding two thirds of the pitch to Barca willingly. It's a training exercise at this point.
75'—Perhaps for the first time this half, Thailand attack and the right winger skins his marker. The low cross is expertly read and cleared by Mascherano.
73'—Barca spent the entire first half playing down the left, but this half it's been down the right. The focus has been to get Alexis Sanchez on the ball and running at the full-back.
70'—Barcelona's official website lists the possession statistics as 98% to Barca—we're not sure that's completely accurate, but it's got to be close.
Cules will be desperate to see Dongou score here.
65'—Jean Marie Dongou comes on for Fabregas, making it two products of the Samuel Eto'o academy to feature in Thailand today.
63'—A seriously slick move—which had it come off, would have been replayed for decades—sees Alexis dragged just a little too wide and fires into the side netting. Defenders just stood still as Barca passed rings around them.
60'—Pinto's coming on for Barca, Valdes off.
The Thai players look shattered, but only two substitutes for them at this stage.
56'—Very close to an eighth goal as wonderful, intricate buildup forces the Thai defence into a desperate clearance.
54'—Disallowed goal as Alexis rolls it into an empty net. Offside? hmm...
52'—Breathless start as the Barca rampage resumes! Pedro has been excellent and deserves a hat-trick.
Alexis Sanchez makes it 7-1 straight away. Lovely work from Iniesta to make it happen.

Barca lead 5-1 at the break!
GOAL! Thailand grab one!
It's not a penalty, to be honest, but the referee gave it and Thailand's Dangda slots it home!
The tackle was outside the area from Bangnack.
PENALTY! Thailand have a penalty!
39'—Disappointing, as Thailand get a rare attack via a corner and it goes into the netting, near post.

Wonderful patient buildup play, Messi skins his marker down the left and flashes a low ball to the back post where Pedro slides home with ease.
GOAL! Barca 5-0
29'—Barca use the left again, Neymar gets into the box but his hooked cross is too high for anyone to get close to.
More on the goal
Finally, Messi pokes home after confusion in the box gives him a very simple finish, unchallenged at the far post. Barca using the left side extremely well.
GOAL! Barca net once again
