Patriot Pat says...
In light of all the recent conspiracy theories being thrown around about professional sports on B/R, I thought I should throw one more into the mix.
I do not know who the person is who did the video below, but I do remember thinking "what the hell is going on," about the exact same things he brings up about the closing moments of Super Bowl XLII.
I don't want to get into the fact that this makes my stomach turn, even though it does. I figured that it was my duty to let as many people in on this as I could.
At the time, I remember thinking "Whatever. Next play, we'll stop them next play."
The Giants are a great team, don't get me wrong. I believe they fought the game honorably, and for a long time I have been taking the honorable route in saying that they should have won that game.
Actually, the Patriots have no excuses and should have won the game by a fair margin. They didn't, however, and I would take a win by four points any day of the week.
After watching this video—I literally had to force myself—I am convinced that the Giants should have run out of time before they scored.
Before you go commenting on this article, know that I am not over that magical season ending in such a devastating way.
I am just using this as extra fuel when thinking about the Patriots decimating the 2009 playoffs.
If you comment on this article without having watched the entire video, you will be ignored, because if you watch the video, the conspiracy theorists' points are quite relative, and spot on.
