Predicting the 2009 NFL Season

In 2008, the Pittsburgh Steelers took home the Lombardi trophy. This made them the only team in NFL History to win six Super Bowls. They ended up winning a comeback game against the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.

However that is now in the past, and the 2009 Regular Season is just about here. June, July, and August are all we have left before the 2009 Season comes to us.

However some things happened over the offseason. In example, Brett Favre retired...AGAIN. And once again, there is speculation on wither or not the Old Gun-Slinger will return.

Also, Jay Cutler now plays for the Chicago Bears, and Kyle Orton now plays for the Denver Broncos. Three teams are switching to the 3-4 Defense from the 4-3.

All in all, the 2009 NFL Season looks to be good. So without anymore delays, Mike Craig is going to take you through his prediction of the 2009 NFL Season.

Week 1

In Week 1, I have to say that the Game of the Week will have to be the very first game of the 2009 NFL Season. That is when the Tennessee Titans will travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.

Perhaps the Steelers can get back at the Titans for disgracing that their towel down in Tennessee last year?

Week 2

In Week 2, there are a lot of games that don't really look exciting to watch except for two. Those two being when Baltimore heads to San Diego, and when the Giants head to Dallas' new stadium.

My pick for game of the week will be the New York Giants at the Dallas Cowboys. When these two teams meet, it is always a good game.

Two weeks in a row, the Dallas Cowboys will be involved in the game of the week by my standards. This is a Monday Night Football match-up in Dallas as the Carolina Panthers take on the Dallas Cowboys.

Carolina seemed to be a really dominant team last year, and the Cowboys were on par to make a playoff run but fell short.
