0 of 9

Welcome to your one-stop shop for all the news and rumors, however feasible or far-fetched they may well be, from the Santiago Bernabeu.

---LAST UPDATED: Saturday, August 10 at 12:00 ET---

With the club's tour to America well underway, Real Madrid will be keen to tie up any outstanding business as soon as possible.

And as one big-name signing continues to be linked, a host of lesser names may be ushered out the door in the Spanish capital over the next seven days.

This slideshow will be constantly updated throughout the week with the most recent news, rumours and rubbish pushed to the first few slides.

With that in mind, make sure you're continuously heading back—you wouldn't want to miss anything.

Confirmed in: Casemiro (Sao Paulo), Isco (Malaga), Dani Carvajal (Bayer Leverkusen), Asier Illarramendi (Real Sociedad)

Confirmed out: Ricardo Carvalho (Monaco), Michael Essien (Chelsea), Jose Callejon, Gonzalo Higuain and Raul Albiol (Napoli

Luka Modric

1 of 9

Jamie Jackson of The Guardian has written that David Moyes is ready to turn his attention from Barcelona to Madrid in his pursuit of a new midfielder.

Manchester United have previously been linked with Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas, but now appear to have switched their target to Luka Modric.

The 27-year-old only left Tottenham for Real Madrid last summer, but Jackson suggest Moyes could offer £25 million for the Croatian international.

After a disappointing start, Modric has become well-liked among supporters in the Spanish capital but, with an abundance of midfielders at the club, United may feel Carlo Ancelotti would be prepared to cash in.

With the new campaign set to get underway next weekend, the English champions would need to make a move swiftly.

Mattia De Sciglio

2 of 9

Marca are reporting that Carlo Ancelotti has an interest in bringing a fellow-countryman to join him at Real Madrid.

AC Milan's Mattia de Sciglio is the supposed target.

The 20-year-old full back can play on the right of the left of defense, and is thought to be a target due to Fabio Coentrao's desire to leave.

The paper's report suggests that Madrid and Milan could sit down to discuss the potential deal this week.

Jese Rodriguez

3 of 9

Spanish radio station Cadena Cope are suggesting that Real Madrid and Malaga are close to agreeing a deal for Jese Rodriguez, via football-espana.

Any move would supposedly be on a one-year loan, with Madrid keen for the youngster to gain some first team experience in La Liga.

The 20-year-old would likely be keen to take the opportunity to play more regularly too.

Rodriguez was one Spain's top performers at this summer's Under-20 World Cup, alongside Gerard Deulofeu of Barcelona who has moved on loan to Everton.

Fabio Coentrao

4 of 9

According to Marca, if it was up to Fabio Coentrao, he would have left Real Madrid already this summer.

Tottenham is supposedly his preferred destination, with the possibility of linking up with compatriot Andre Villas-Boas.

The report suggests the interest is mutual.

However, it's unlikely the two clubs will be striking any deal until the Gareth Bale transfer is concluded. With that being said, there is a possibility that the Portuguese left-back could be included in any deal.

UPDATE: Fabio Coentrao is desperate to move on from Real Madrid and has told the club he wants to leave during this window, via football-espana. Monaco, Chelsea, Tottenham and Benfica have all been linked with the left-back this summer.

Gareth Bale

5 of 9

Gareth and Bale. Two words which will continue to dominate the headlines of newspapers until a conclusion is reached in the long-running transfer saga.

Speaking after defeat to Monaco, Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas suggested the transfer was not imminent. However, he did add a caveat, as reported by Sky Sports:

These rumors of an imminent transfer are not true. The only thing we have communicated with Real Madrid is that he is our player and he is not for sale. We envisage the future with Gareth. But we know that in football anything is possible.

Meanwhile, Marca say that the story could meet its end this week when Florentino Perez and Daniel Levy meet in Miami on Wednesday.

At the meeting, the fee—and how it will be paid—will be discussed, with an outcome hopefully before the week is out.

UPDATE: In an interview with ESPN released on Wednesday, Florentino Perez has given the first hint that he might not be willing to shell out as much as being suggested for Gareth Bale:

"Of course, 100 million euros seems to me like a lot of money, all things considered. But I won't talk about players or money, because I shouldn't and I cannot."

It could just be a ploy to drive the price down as Daniel Levy realises he has no option but to sell his star who wants out, or it could be a sign that Perez isn't prepared to meet Spurs' demands. Time will tell.

Karim Benzema

6 of 9

Despite having already offloaded Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli, Karim Benzema is still being linked with a move away.

Itay is supposedly his destination too, but his agent has dismissed links Roma's interest in an interview on Radio Mana Mana, via football-espana.net:

“It is pure fantasy. Roma are a great club, but how would it be possible for Karim to leave a club like Real Madrid? These are just transfer rumors. Karim is happy to play for the Blancos and will remain in Spain.”

And even though agent's aren't often to be believed, it's unlikely Benzema will flee this summer.

UPDATE: Now Arsenal have been linked with Benzema, despite the feeling that the French forward will be going nowhere this summer.

Newspaper Le 10 Sport have suggested the Gunners are prepared to offer €45 million for him, as they grow increasingly frustrated with their bid to sign Luis Suarez.

Pepe

7 of 9

Portuguese defender Pepe, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City throughout the summer, has not given much away in a recent interview.

Speaking on the club's tour of America, Pepe said, via The Express:

"I'm a professional. [Madrid] left a lot of things at the end of last season but I have a contract to fulfill.

"I'm talking to the president of Madrid and my representatives to see what will happen."

The ball now seems to be in Manuel Pellegrini's court to decide if he wants to make a move for the man who he coached during his tenure as Madrid boss.

Guilherme Siqueira

8 of 9

Granada's Brazilian left-back Guilherme Siqueira could be a Real Madrid target.

According to Terra (via Football Espana), Los Blancos are interested in the 27-year-old, but must first offload Fabio Coentrao.

It is presumed Madrid's first bid would be around €10 million, although the Andalusian club will hold out for closer to €15 million.

---LAST UPDATED: Monday, August 5 at 13:30 ET---

Cristiano Ronaldo

9 of 9

All this summer's talk about Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford can be put to bed if Marca's top story on Monday morning is true.

They suggest the Portuguese forward is set to, at last, sign his name to a new contract in the Spanish capital.

The deal will tie him to the club until 2018 and will earn him €17 million a year for each of the next five seasons1,000,000 more than Lionel Messi.

Supposedly, Jorge Mendes was instrumental in making sure Ronaldo committed himself to Madrid, asking him "where would you be better off than you are here?"
