Less than a week after David Nofoaluma's incredible effort against the Manly Sea Eagles, the NRL has another contender for best try of the season.
This time it's from Melbourne Storm centre Will Chambers.
As shown in the video above, Chambers scored one of the more remarkable tries of the year against the Canberra Raiders on Sunday following spectacular work from Storm winger Mahe Fonua which reinforced the notion of never giving up on a play.
Fonua raced past Raiders fullback Anthony Milford before leaping from the field of play and throwing the ball back over his head before hitting the ground. This kept the play alive and allowed Chambers—in the right place at the right time—to score.
Melbourne would go on to thrash the Raiders 68-4.
This isn't the first time rugby league has witnessed such an athletic feat as Fonua's play was very similar to Greg Inglis' against New Zealand in 2008.
However, that doesn't make this try any less remarkable, and it certainly doesn't mean that Chambers' touchdown won't be considered one of the best this season—perhaps of all time.
