Tiger Woods continued to outclass the opposition Saturday afternoon in Akron, improving his score to 15-under-par through three rounds of the Bridgestone Invitational. While he didn’t display the near-flawless play that helped him flirt with 59 on Friday, Woods did enough to notch a two-under 68 and establish a seven-stroke lead through 54 holes.

Although he struggled with an inaccurate tee shot at times, Tiger excelled in the short game. A chip-in for birdie on No. 13 adds to his growing highlight reel at Firestone.

He opened the third round with back-to-back birdies, carrying over momentum from a scintillating 61 on Friday.

Woods enters Sunday’s action searching for an eighth Bridgestone Invitational victory, matching his career-high for wins at a single event. It would be his fifth tournament title of the season, setting the stage for the PGA Championship next week at Oak Hill.
