Grading the Biggest MLB Trade Deadline Moves

If we’re being honest, the 2013 Major League Baseball trade deadline was a snoozer as far as deadlines go. There was plenty of chatter, but you’d find more action in a Jane Austen novel.

Still, there were some deals that went down that are worth talking about. That’s mine and B/R Pop Culture Lead Writer Gabe Zaldivar’s cue to, you know, talk.

And so we got in front of some cameras to share our grades for the biggest deals of the deadline. That means the Bud Norris trade between the Houston Astros and the Baltimore Orioles, the Ian Kennedy trade between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres and, last but not least, the Jake Peavy trade between the Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers.
