Riley Cooper Should Thank Michael Vick for Saving Pro Career

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper was caught using a racially insensitive term at a recent Kenny Chesney concert.

In the wake of the incident, players, fans and critics have come down on both sides of Cooper—either calling for his dismissal or absolving him.

Interestingly enough, one of those forgiving Cooper is his quarterback, Michael Vick, who, when he met with reporters after the story broke, said that he had spoken to Cooper—and that he had forgiven him.

Mike Vick: as a teammate I forgave him. I know Riley Cooper, I know him as a man. Hard to understand situation, but easy to forgive him

Cooper is lucky to have Vick as a teammate.
