Brazilian Championship Gets Going In Grand Style
The Brazilian championship got started today in grand style with Internacional's Nilmar scoring a fantastic goal versus Ronaldo's Corinthians.
This championship promises to be one of the hottest in recent years as a host of strikers lock horns for the No. 9 jersey up for grabs on Brazilian coach Dunga's yellow machine.
Big names the likes of Adriano, Ronaldo, Nilmar, and Fred go up against each other as well as newcomers such as Dentinho, Keirrison, Kleber, Neymar, and the Argentinian D'Alessandro.
And what better way to get things going than a spectacular goal "A la Maradona" in the very first match.
It is worth mentioning that Ronaldo did not play for Corinthians as well as several other players due to their focus on the Cup of Brazil.
However, this does not take away from the Internacional victory or Nilmar's splendid run at goal versus the undefeated Paulista champions.
Corinthians had gone 26 matches at the Pacaembu without tasting defeat before this match.
