The tourists on Bourbon Street thought he was Colin Kaepernick, but on the first day of the New Orleans Saints training camp, the "real" fans knew exactly who Kenny Vaccaro was.
He was out there with the first team the majority of the time, playing at one speed: fast.
All first-round draft picks arrive at the field with high expectations from fans, teammates and the organization. Vaccaro is no exception.
The good news is the former Texas safety has set some high-level goals for himself.
He sees no reason why he cannot succeed in Rob Ryan's new defensive scheme. So far, he's lined up at nickelback, dime and strong safety. He showing great versatility both on and off the field, as he's been adept at handling the media, too.
Check out the video above as we met up with Vaccaro on the eve of his first training camp practice as a pro. You can see the nerves on his face as he gets ready to perform in front of Saints fans and media for the first time.
Game is now on for Vaccaro.
Let us know in the comments below if you think Vaccaro will have a big impact on the Saints defense in 2013.
