Liverpool's excellent preseason continued on Sunday morning, as the Reds not only won their fourth straight game but also kept their fourth clean sheet, defeating Thailand 3-0.

Philippe Coutinho, Iago Aspas and Steven Gerrard all scored for Liverpool.

The Reds were clearly the better and more active side early in this contest, but they fell short on several scoring attempts, including a spectacular bicycle attempt by Coutinho that the dynamic youngster just mistimed and sent wide.

But in the 17th minute, Coutinho would get his goal. And boy, was it brilliant.

This one was all Coutinho, as he started his run from about 40 yards out, deked and juked his way past two defenders and wrong-footed the keeper before sending home Liverpool's first goal. It's hard not to get excited about this kid's potential.

Liverpool's defending left a bit to be desired in this one early on, as Teerasil Dangda nearly leveled for Thailand in the 26th minute, but his curling effort went wide.

New keeper Simon Mignolet came up clutch in the 37th minute, punching away a corner sent into a dangerous position before making a brilliant save on a screaming shot just moments later.

The game would go to the half with Liverpool leading by a goal. But it wouldn't take long for the Reds to double their lead.

This time Aspas got on the board in the 50th minute, as Coutinho found him with a through ball. Aspas split through the defense after a clever turn to control the ball and was through on goal, where he calmly slotted past the keeper.

Nine minutes later, the Reds made it three.

Aspas was again involved, though this time he stopped his run short on the right side of the box, finding himself somewhat out of control. He adeptly back-heeled a pass to Gerrard, who chipped a lovely shot over the keeper and a Thailand defender to give Liverpool a 3-0 lead.

In the 62nd minute, Luis Suarez entered the game. Every time he does so this summer, there will be speculation that it is his last appearance for Liverpool amidst rumours that he could be departing the club, with Sky Sports reporting Arsenal as the team leading the chase for the Uruguayan's signature.

In the 71st minute, Suarez had a chance to make an impact, as Gerrard found him in space inside the box on a set piece. But Suarez's header hit the crossbar, and the score remained 3-0.

Liverpool continued to be the more dangerous side down the stretch but saw a few golden chances left wanting, while Thailand never really threatened the Reds' clean sheet. The match would conclude with Liverpool earning a 3-0 win.

Man of the Match: Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool

Aspas was also quite active in this contest, but this one was all about Coutinho. His opening goal was a thing of beauty and the stuff that YouTube highlight compilations are made of, while his assist on Aspas' goal was also quite lovely.

For all of the talk of Suarez's potential departure, Liverpool could end up being Coutinho's team this season whether the star striker in front of him sticks around or not. Expect huge things from Coutinho this year.
