UFC on Fox 8 takes place Saturday night from Seattle's KeyArena, and a co-main event between Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger serves as a highlight for the event.
The winner of this fight could (and almost certainly should) be next in line for a shot at the welterweight title.

Nice combination from MacDonald, followed by another. Ellenberger lands a knee in the exchange, and MacDonald is bleeding a bit. Head kick blocked by MacDonald, but Ellenberger scores a nice hook.
More jabs from MacDonald, as Ellenberger continues to look for big strikes. A pair of jabs stop Ellenberger as he moves forward. The two briefly tie up at the end of the round.
Not much action thus far, so the scorecard should read 10-10.
Round 2 is underway with a kick from MacDonald.
Ellenberger completely misses with a left hook, and MacDonald continues to confuse his opponent on the feet. Kick from MacDonald, followed by a jab. That's his ticket to victory—the jab is keeping Ellenbger on his heels.
Ellenberger looks to shoot, but MacDonald stuffs the attempt. Nice uppercut scores for the underdog, but MacDonald continues to stalk his opponent, controlling the cage. Fake kick from MacDonald.
Big break in action before MacDonald rushes forward with a takedown. They briefly clinch, and MacDonald opens up with his quick hands before the fighters break. Head kick lands for MacDonald.
Rogan explains how MacDonald's jab is really working, even if it's not exciting. MacDonald lands another, even as the crowd boos loudly. Another jab lands for him.
Ellenberger looks to push in, but MacDonald circles away from the damage. Another jab for the favorite lands before the round ends.
MacDonald takes that one 10-9 thanks to his strong jab.
Final round underway, and Ellenberger needs to make something happen.
He whiffs badly with a right, but at least Ellenberger has a sense of urgency heading into this round. MacDonald, on the other hand, couldn't be calmer.
Ellenberger slows a bit, but only for a moment. He turns things back up, attempting to close the distance. He lands glancing blows, but he's going to need to continue the pressure.
MacDonald slips to the mat after a kick, but quickly stands back up. Ellenberger takes the center of the cage, looking to pressure MacDonald here. Only problem? MacDonald continues to utilize dominant foot movement to avoid dangerous situations.
Kick from Ellenberger lands, but not with much power. MacDonald lands another jab, then rushes forward with a combination.
They exchange briefly, and Ellenberger explodes for a much-needed takedown. They scramble, but Ellenberger remains in top position, but MacDonald only needs to survive for 30 seconds.
Ellenberger fails to mount much offense, and MacDonald grabs hold of an omoplata as time winds down. The round closes, and MacDonald takes it 10-9.
It wasn't an exhilarating experience for the fans, but the Canadian should take home the victory.
