WWE made its action figure-collecting fans happy this week, showing off its new wares via tweets, Instagram photos and videos.
Mattel's new line of WWE toys was the talk of San Diego Comic-Con 2013. Consider all of your WWE fan shopping needs met.
WWE's other social media highlights of the week include some comic book ties, an inaugural champion and a look back at the best spear users in company history.
Let's begin with a future star celebrating the biggest moment of her career so far.
Paige's Title Win
WWE crowned its first-ever NXT women's champ and the company made the right choice in who carries that title first.
Paige is a blue-chip prospect with the look, intensity and wrestling skill to be the centerpiece of the Divas division for years to come. WWE is exercising patience with her by first allowing her to grow at NXT before jumping to the main roster.
She defeated Emma in a tournament to determine NXT's first woman champ and told WWE.com, "To be the first NXT Women's Champion is such an honor. It's so overwhelming that it hasn't fully sunk in yet."
WWE posted a photo gallery of her celebrating her title win, a moment that she will likely mirror on the main roster before too long.
CM Punk's upcoming SummerSlam match with Brock Lesnar has prompted several WWE fans to make the comparison to Wolverine's battles with the Hulk. He is, after all, smaller in stature than his foe and as belligerent as the X-Man.
Some awesome person took it a step further and created this photoshopped Avengers-inspired SummerSlam poster.
This is a fun image that got Paul Heyman's attention. No argument about the choice for Superman, although he's property of a different comic book company, so it's not accurate, comic book-wise.
New Action Figures
Comic-Con in San Diego surely had a plethora of folks who would be able to discuss Avengers and DC Comics for hours, but the big WWE news out of that convention was the release of some new action figures.
WWE's Instagram page shared a photo of the Bruno Sammartino figure, a bonus result of Sammartino and WWE making amends.
The Elite Series 25 also features a great-looking Seth Rollins figure. Others show off stunning detailing, including Wade Barrett—whose rose tattoo is mighty well done—and Antonio Cesaro with chest hair that is all too realistic.
Punk, complete with stolen urn, is a part of the collection as well.
For a look at those and more, check out PWInsider.com's look at the new collection. WWE also shared a video offering thoughts on the toys from a Mattel employee.
Celebration of the Spear
One of the better videos that WWE posted showcased masters of the spear finishing move.
While there is some confusion about whether this top-10 list is about individual spears or Superstars with the best spears, it's fun reliving some of these famous moments.
Kaitlyn gets respect by making it on the list. In terms of sheer force, she was one of the best spears in the industry. Roman Reigns is highlighted as well.
Goldberg reminds us why his version is still the very best.
Scott Hall shared a nostalgia-inducing photo on Twitter of himself along with members of the infamous Kliq.
Play a game of spot the Hall of Famers or simply reminisce about any of the photo's many subjects, the late Paul Bearer included.
Before the No-Show
WWE hyped Big Show's return for Monday's Raw, but the big man didn't make an appearance. Even so, the video that did the hyping is still a fantastic one.
Just like with Mark Henry's return video, WWE's editing team did a great job making Big Show look like a destructive force and getting fans excited about seeing him back in action. The delay of his return doesn't hamper the power of this collection of highlights set to rock music.
It may be a while until it is relevant, however. The giant isn't a part of next Monday's Raw, either.
