Saturday's friendly vs. Stoke City FC was originally billed as the return of former FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea, who was sold to the Potters earlier this year, to Frisco. But with Shea currently with the U.S. national team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the final being on Sunday, Shea will not be playing for Stoke this weekend. However, in a nice plan B, at least in theory, it was thought that this weekend's friendly might at least mark the FCD debut for both Mauro Diaz, a 22-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder signed last week, and Erick, a 25-year-old holding midfielder from Brazil who was signed on July 5.
