Yasiel Puig Celebrates Dodgers' Fortunes with Some Hyun-Jin Ryu Noogies

Sometimes the sun shines brighter than it once did, the balls seem to drop in for hits and the wins flow like champagne. It's for special moments like these that the noogie was invented.

There is no way to fact check that, so we would like you to just take our word for it as you take in the brilliance that is rookie phenom Yasiel Puig giving a noogie to rookie pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu.

A hat tip to The Big Lead's Stephen Douglas for spotting the only video we need to confirm that the Dodgers' season is going far better than it was a couple of months ago.

However, if you're more interested in hearing about wins, losses and statistics, you might be intrigued to know that the Blue Crew—a team that was last in the NL West in May—now sits atop the division with a 1.5-game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks and just swept their second club in a row on the road.

In fact, their win against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night was their 10th consecutive road win, the most since the team moved to Los Angeles.

Not even the addition of Carlos Marmol or the pitching of Brandon League can keep this team down.

On Wednesday, the Dodgers found themselves down a run going into the ninth inning. L.A. would tie the score to send the game into extra innings. In the 10th, Mark Ellis and Puig would homer en route to an 8-3 win in Toronto.

So you might say things were fairly festive in the visiting dugout late in the game. A team that was mired by lackluster performances earlier in the season knows all too well how fleeting success can be.

For the moment, it is going to savor the string of victories with a little dancing and perhaps a few more noogies.
