NASCAR Suspends Jeremy Mayfield For Positive Drug Test

NASCAR has immediately and indefinitely suspended Sprint Cup Driver Jeremy Mayfield under the terms of it's substance abuse policy.
Mayfield tested positive during a random screening last week at Richmond and violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 7-5 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2009 NASCAR rule book.
