The United States cruised to a 5-1 victory over El Salvador in the CONCACAF Golf Cup semifinals, and Landon Donovan, who scored the team's fourth goal at 78', received some sunglasses as a gift from a fan in the stands during a corner kick.

The sideline referee, who apparently hates fun, stopped Donovan from trying them on before his kick. Donovan complied and gave the sunglasses thrown at him to the official, but he was probably thinking, "Man, this guy is such a buzzkill" as he did it.

SB Nation did the GIF one better and capitalized on a golden opportunity:

Nicely done, Donovan. Way to roll with the punches and have a little fun while dominating on the pitch.

Hat tip to Reddit for the GIFs.
