World Football Hero of the Week

Will Tidey@willtideySenior Manager, GlobalJuly 20, 2013

There was a time it seemed like Chris Wondolowski couldn't buy a goal for the U.S. national team.

That time has passed. Because with five goals in two matches, Wondo has gone from a frustration to a potential World Cup starter and earned the love of a nation.

Wondo, America salutes you. What's more, Bleacher Report salutes you, too. You kept going, and eventually you found a way to goal.

For that, you should be celebrated. I present, the inaugural world football hero of the week.
