This one is going to be short and sweet.  Well, ok, maybe just short.  The latest report on the Brett Favre saga came today, and it depends on the outcome of his shoulder x-rays. If the results indicate major surgery is required to correct the problem with Bretts throwing arm, then he will remain retired, at least for this season.  If the results show he does not need major surgery, then the Vikings may still be interested in signing the future hall of famer for the 2009 NFL season. So we will have to wait and see what the results of the x-ray bring. I have to say I would like to see Brett retire. I'm not wishing him anything but the best, but at this point the best may be for him to retire with dignity.
