FIFA 13: 5 Newly-Transferred Players You Must Try on Ultimate Team

0 of 5

EA Sports continue to update FIFA 13's Ultimate Team game mode, providing players with up-to-date transfers that mimic completed deals from real life.

Those looking to spice up their painstakingly built teams may wish to take a look at the marketplace. EA has released two batches of updated items since the summer transfer window began and are sure to continue adding as the weeks progress.

This not only allows the developer to remove retired players from packs, it provides an opportunity to switch many players' allegiance.

Which recently transferred striker is worth your time? Can an aging midfielder plug the gap in your midfield? Prioritising interesting links and full chemistry, here's five for you to try.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Borussia Dortmund

1 of 5

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's transfer from Saint-Etienne to Borussia Dortmund will have FIFA 13 pace abusers weeping with joy.

For everyone else, the Gabon international's 93-rated speed will cause major problems. Aubameyang's Bundesliga transition now ensures he can work alongside other sprinters such as Marco Reus, Alexander Esswein and Mame Biram Diouf. Eventually, EA will update the game so Henrikh Mkhitaryan also links perfectly with the 24-year-old.

Get the tissues ready. One way or another, you're going to need them.

Jesus Navas, Manchester City

2 of 5

Jesus Navas joins a strong Spanish contingent in the Premier League.

The Manchester City winger can be used to build a number of interesting all-Spanish squads from England's division, although more adventurous players will look to integrate Navas and his insane speed within a Premier League/La Liga hybrid side.

By the time this transfer window ends, don't rule out a few more Spanish arrivals in England adding to Navas' chemistry.

Marko Marin, Sevilla

3 of 5

Marko Marin barely registered during his debut season with Chelsea.

The German international is now on loan at Sevilla and opens up the intriguing prospect of creating a German/Spanish hybrid, particularly when you consider Javi Martinez is at Bayern Munich. If EA update Thiago Alcantara's club to the European champions, Marin's potential begins to shine through.

He is blessed with amazing agility, decent pace and integrate dribbling ability, thus providing a cheap alternative to many other attack-minded midfielders on the game.

Jeremy Toulalan, Monaco

4 of 5

Jeremy Toulalan is not a glamorous player to use on FIFA 13.

The defensive midfielder lacks pace and aerial prowess in the middle, but his defensive and distribution stats are excellent. Toulalan is rated 83 overall and flaunts 90 stamina alongside expert vision and aggression.

Much like real football, the best Ultimate Team squads combine individual superstars with workhorses. Upon joining Monaco, Toulalan can integrate himself into a Ligue 1-based team that includes Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

For those who wish to counterbalance his aging legs, Lucas Moura will do the trick.

Obafemi Martins, Seattle Sounders

5 of 5

It's the perfect time to play with MLS clubs on Ultimate Team.

Now that the regular European season is over, American squads are picking up many Team of the Week cards. This means improved versions of normal cards are being added weekly, which ensures a real popularity boost to the amount of players using MLS-based lineups.

Obafemi Martins is an all-round hassle to play against. The Nigerian has terrific speed, is good in the air and can finish expertly. He could prop up many Bronze/Silver/Gold hybrids and has the overall power to demolish highly-rated teams.
