Like Mother, Like Son

Yes, it's true, Joba Chamberlain's Mom was arrested in Nebraska for selling meth to a police officer.

Jacqueline Standley was charged with delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug, a class 2 felony punishable by 1 to 50 years in prison. Standley told a judge that she could not afford an attorney. A public defender was appointed to represent her.

You'd think that Joba, with all the money he's got in salary and endorsements might want to give her some change for a decent lawyer. Maybe he wants her to do some hard time. Who knows?

"She's still my mom and I still love her," her son Joba said. "That's the long and short of it. You handle it. You've only got one mom, man. You have to be thankful for her, love her and pray for her."

Hey fatso, you might want to try backing up those words with a little cash, or your mom might spend the rest of her miserable life in the can.

Joba Chamberlain, himself, was arrested for a DUI in October 2008, so I guess that the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree.

On a bit of a side note, maybe all those bugs in Cleveland attacked him because they could sense the alcohol seeping out of his fat pores on the mound that fateful night.

So Joba's claim to fame has been getting arrested for a DUI, getting attacked by bugs and blowing the Yankees season in a playoff game. That's some legacy. This ridiculous pig is what Yankee fans were getting so excited about a few years ago? What a disappointment.

So what are we to learn from this? I guess we've learned that Joba Chamberlain and his Mom are both fat alcoholic losers that have been arrested in their hometown of Nebraska and have both become objects of ridicule for the media and baseball fans everywhere.

I wonder what Joba does next next for an encore? Maybe Kevin Youklis will charge the mound on him and beat his alcoholic chubby rear end to a pulp in front of all the Yankee fans at that ridiculous abomination of a new stadium they have that's already being ridiculed as "Coors Field East." Now that would be something that I, for one, would really love to see.
