Early after the trade of Cory Redding for Julian Peterson I wrote Detroit Lions: Linebackers Looking Strong. Now I'm writing Detroit lions: linebacker's looking stronger.

After trading for Peterson and now signing Larry Foote the seven year veteran for one year deal. He played for Pittsburgh last year and had 34 tackles and 29 assists.

Detroit already had Ernie Sims a fast right outside linebacker who is a good at bringing down backs. Ernie has had 250 tackles in his three years in the NFL.

The Lions traded for Peterson early in the offseason who has had 495 tackles in a eight year career.

Already they had two good run blockers and now they have Larry Foote who will be able to help. He has had 288 tackles in eight years.

Another good addition the Lions have made is the NT Grady Jackson who is listed at 345 pound's but probably spends more time at 360. In a 12 year career he has had 364 tackles.

The Lions have made some impressive moves and brought in quite a few good players on defense. Another thing this says is Schwartz must have a good reputation. To bring in Jackson and Foote to a 0-16 team is pretty good.

The Lions are moving in a direction. I think the new players will make a positive difference for the defence.
