1 of 10

Fabio Coentrao has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu all summer, with The Express now reporting he's closer than ever to leaving Spain.

After missing two days training this past week, the English paper have quoted a Marca source saying he is "more likely to leave than to stay at the club."

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea is one potential destination for the 25-year-old according to the report.

If the Portuguese international does leave the club, it would leave Marcelo and Nacho Fernandez as the club's left-backs.

Gonzalo Higuain

2 of 10

Gonzalo Higuain is still, very much, a Real Madrid player.

According to John Drayton in The Daily Mail, the latest line is that the striker is now planning clear-the-air talks with Carlo Ancelotti and the club after interest from Arsenal appeared to grind to a halt.

Even more suspicious is president Florentino Perez's insistence that Los Blancos have received no bids for the Argentinian, according to The Daily Mail:

"We don’t want him to go. Furthermore, no one from Arsenal has been here to make any type of offer, not for €27 million, or anything."

With Madrid returning to preseason this week, Higuain could yet start the coming campaign in the club's white shirt.

UPDATE: According to various sources in the Italian media, via Marca, Napoliwho have already landed Jose Callejon and maintain an interest in Raul Albiolcould be set to swoop for Higuain. The Italian club have money to invest in a striker after Edinson Cavani departed for PSG, and the Madrid's forward is thought to interest Rafa Benitez.

UPDATE: Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has told Tuttomercato, via ESPN, that Chelsea have also joined the Italian club and Arsenal in the race to sign Higuain. It is thought the striker could favor the Stamford Bridge option, and a reunion with Jose Mourinho.

Sergio Aguero

4 of 10

Former Atletico Madrid striker, Sergio Aguero is the latest man to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The Metro are reporting that Manchester City, who have already sold Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli this year, are bracing themselves for a bid from Los Blancos.

As recently as May, the Argentinian said  "I’m very happy to be at Manchester City. I’m committed to them. It’s a great club."

However, if Madrid were to come in with a bid, his stance may change.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

5 of 10

A report in Spanish newspaper AS claims that Zlatan Ibramhimovic wants to be reunited with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, , via

The Swedish international is said to be unhappy with the arrival of Edinson Cavani, because the two play in the same position.

It is also thought he feels Madrid are better equipped to win the Champions League--a competition he has yet to get his hands on.

Zlatan only joined the French club last summer, and would have to take a pay cut if he really wanted to force through a move to the Spanish capital.

Luis Suarez

6 of 10

Liverpool's Luis Suarez is thought to be back on Real Madrid's radar again, according to The Mirror

The England-based paper are reporting that Los Blancos are set to test Liverpool's resolve with an opening offer of £10 million, plus Gonzalo Higuain.

Madrid have been linked with the Uruguayan for most of the summer, although a concrete interest has never been truly established.

Suarez has voiced his desire to leave Liverpool, but what price they've placed on his head remains to be seen.

Higuain should certainly be an attractive part of the deal; he's younger than Suarez and has just an impressive, if not more impressive, goal scoring ratio.

Kaka is once again back in training with his Real Madrid team mates ahead of another possible season in the Spanish capital.

And Marca are speculating that the Brazilians bond with Carlo Ancelotti, his manager at AC Milan, could yet provide him with a new start at the Bernabeu:

"The close bond was evident from the very beginning of the first training session of the season."

Upon his return to Madrid, AS had reported that Kaka remained coy on his future, with his form in preseason expected to decide his fate.

Raul Albiol

8 of 10

After securing the services of Jose Callejon last week, Napoli manager Rafa Benitez has been linked with a return to Real Madrid for another one of their players.

Defender Raul Albiol, who is behind Sergio Ramos, Pepe and Raphael Varane when it comes to starting, is the name rumored to interest the Italian club.

SportItalia say, via AS, that the former Valencia man could be among the list of players Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane decide are available to leave the club this summer.

Albiol joined Los Blancos in 2009. Despite being a regular under Manuel Pellegrini, he has found playing time hard to come by during the past three seasons.

UPDATE: Gazzetta dello Sport, via, believe that Napoli have already taken their interest in Raul Albiol to the next level. On Tuesday morning they ran with the line that the two clubs have agreed a €12 million deal for the central defender.

Ezequiel Garay

9 of 10

Manchester United are supposedly homing in on the signing of Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay for a fee of 20 million, according to

What's that got to do with Real Madrid?

Los Blancos signed the 26-year-old in 2008 from Racing Santander. Despite letting him leave for Portugal, Real are thought to maintain a 50 percent stake in any future sale.

That would mean 10 million heading into the club from the English champions.

Sami Khedira

10 of 10

Asier Illarramendi's arrival at Real Madrid this past week has been cause for scrutiny over the club's current collection of midfielders.

One of whom is German international Sami Khedira.

The 26-year-old has quickly moved to distance himself from reports linking him with a move to Chelsea to join Jose Mourinho, according to ESPN:

Three years ago [Mourinho] handed me the chance to make the next step from Bundesliga to Madrid as young international. But I am contracted to Real and now I am first of all looking forward to working with Carlo Ancelotti.
