The Colorado Rockies are in desperate need of some help.

Having lost seven of their last 10 and 15 of their last 21, the Rockies have gone from three games over .500 to five games under.

But the reeling Rockies have relief coming Thursday in Troy Tulowitzki and Dexter Fowler.

According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post, "Three-time all-star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and starting center fielder Dexter Fowler will rejoin the Rockies in Los Angeles on Thursday and be re-evaluated. If deemed healthy, they both could be activated for the series against the Dodgers."

With a healthy Troy Tulowitzki and Dexter Fowler, where will the Rockies end up in the NL West standings?

For the Rockies, that news couldn't come soon enough.

In the last 21 games, the Rockies have scored more than three runs seven times and have been outscored 102-62. While only seven of those games have been at home, it's still been a concern for the Rockies.

And with a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers to end the first half, the Rockies need to show signs of life heading into the break.

Tulowitzki is batting .347 with 16 home runs and 51 RBI. Putting him back in the middle of the lineup between Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer is sure to give opposing pitchers headaches.

While Fowler has only stolen 12 bases this year, he's still getting on base 39 percent of the time. Against left-handers he's been dominant, batting .375 with a .462 on-base percentage.

Add in the fact that the Rockies will likely face lefties Clayton Kershaw and Chris Capuano in the Dodgers' series, and that spells good news for Colorado.

Let's not forget the kind of defense both bring to the table.

Tulowitzki is a Gold Glove defender at shortstop. He only has one error this year. Fowler is a speedy center fielder than can really go get the ball. Very rarely do you see him make a mistake.

The series with the Dodgers is a big key for the Rockies if they want to be contenders.

Anything less than a split will be considered a failure. Dropping to fourth or fifth in the division after the break will spell trouble for any team.

But having Tulowitzki and Fowler back in the lineup means nothing but good things for the Rockies.
