Calling Fact or Fiction on the Latest Arsenal Transfer Rumors

Suddenly the silly season just got sillier.

For most of the summer, Arsenal have been linked heavily with Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, and as recently as last week The Guardian reported that a deal was close to completion.

But now Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told Univision that Arsenal have not made an offer.

“We don't want Higuain to leave,” Perez said, as translated by ESPN. “What's more no-one from Arsenal has come to us and made us any offers at all for him. There are no offers on the table.”

So what’s up? Are the Gunners really being gun-shy? Or is this a case of Perez posturing for the best deal possible?

In the clip above, B/R world football lead writer Michael Cummings examines that rumor along with the latest on Luis Suarez and Marouane Chamakh. After watching the video, be sure to add your thoughts in the comments section below on whether each rumor is fact or fiction.
