Desperate for a win, the Giants instead ended up with one of their most devastating losses of a season that continues to spiral downward. The New York Mets scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 16th inning at AT&T Park when Brandon Crawford booted a routine grounder to shortstop with runners on the corners and two outs. After 5 hours and 26 minutes the Giants fell 4-3.
