Roberto de Assis, at one time an up and coming Brazilian footballer himself, but better known as big brother and agent of Ronaldino, has in eagerness to promote his younger brother, been travelling around Europe, speaking with representatives of clubs who are interested in landing the former world player of the year.
In the past three days, Roberto de Assis has travelled to Milan, and held meetings with leaders of both AC Milan and Inter Milan, a few hours after, he then travelled to England, in order to continue with the auction, and it now seems officials from the Chinese soccer league have also joined in.
The key to the operation is that Ronaldinho, could resort to article 17 of the rules of procedure of transfers of FIFA, which allows a player to break his contract unilaterally after three years of operation.
An action with which Roberto de Assís, already threatened on the 27 March, which could see Ronaldinho, the former world player of the year, leave FC Barcelona for around 16 million Euros.
Currently Silvio Berlusconi, president of Milan, added spice to the affair by stating that Ronaldinho "only wants to play in Milan."
Berlusconi went on to say that one of the reasons why the player would like clocking in at Milan is that "many fellow Brazilians, such as Kakà, Pato, Cafú or Emerson are already here and happy".
Things are bound to get more interesting by the week, now that Ronaldinho's season is all but over, due to his most recent injury, ruling him out for six weeks.
