Scherzer Goes for 14-0: Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Indians Live Score, Analysis

Josh Berenter@JBerenterCorrespondent IJuly 8, 2013

Tonight, Max Scherzer looks to further etch his name into the MLB history books.

Against the Cleveland Indians, the Detroit Tigers' starter will attempt to improve his 2013 record to 14-0 and become the first pitcher to do so since Roger Clemens in 1986.

Scherzer and his 3.09 ERA will go up against the Indians' Scott Kazmir and his 4-4 record and 4.86 ERA.

The matchup looks to be in extreme favor of Scherzer and the Tigers, but Kazmir has been a different pitcher at home this season.

He's 4-0 at Progressive Field this year while receiving a run-support average of 8.26.
