A Young Wilt Chamberlain Is So Lanky He Looks Like a Caricature

Growing up in Philadelphia, high school senior Wilt Chamberlain was more than just a basketball star—the 17-year-old ran track for Overbrook High School (also the alma mater of Will Smith), and competed in sprinting, distance and jumping events.

With a stride like that, it's hard to imagine he wouldn't be a track star, but often big guys lack the coordination to succeed in track, which just proves what a special talent he was.
