Welcome to the NBA summer league, where posterizing still happens.
Coming off of a screen, Jackson almost had the ball poked away, but he recovered just in time to streak down the lane and throw down a one-handed slam in the face of Orlando's Moe Harkless.
One Magic defender got out of Jackson's way, leaving Harkless to defend a very Russell Westbrook-esque dunk attempt. As with most Westbrook-like drives, it didn't end well for the opposition.
When you watch it again, you come to realize that Jackson's dunk is something Oklahoma City likes to call "point guard insurance."
Westbrook went down in the first round of the playoffs against the Houston Rockets, and while the second-year Jackson wasn't enough to help Kevin Durant push the Thunder past the Memphis Grizzlies in Round 2, there was plenty to like about what he could do.
His latest posterization is just a reminder that he's on the Thunder, and that he's pretty damn good. Also, it is a reminder that the Thunder have not one, but two athletically inclined floor generals capable of rocking rims and invoking camera flashes around the arena.
"When I think jam Summer League-style, I'm thinking Reggie Jackson," the announcer said.
Now, so are we.
