Cavs Offseason Tracker: Latest Trade Rumors, Free Agency News

The Cleveland Cavaliers figured they'd start the NBA offseason off with a bang by drafting Anthony Bennett with the first overall pick in June's NBA draft, and from there they've been testing about every available option in free agency.

What the Cavs are looking to do is find players that will help them get into the playoffs this season, while remaining flexible to add free agents next summer.

Cleveland has as much cap space as nearly any other team in the league (Atlanta's got but a few pennies on their books), and no contracts guaranteed next season until they sign this year's draft picks.

Obviously, they'll be exercising team options on Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller, while keeping ahold of Bennett, Sergey Karasev, and likely second-round pick Carrick Felix.

So Cleveland does indeed have a ton of money to spend this summer, but they'll likely keep it to single-season contracts and veterans to help the team make it to the playoffs, proving to next year's free-agent crop that they're ready.

Here we will take a look at who the Cavs are eyeing with this year's cap space and try to figure out what their plans are moving forward.
