Why Kevin Durant Is Going Back to Low-Tops: Check out the KD VI

Lance Fresh@@LanceFreshFeatured ColumnistJuly 2, 2013

Kevin Durant is no doubt one of the best basketball players on the planet. KD has also found a regular spot in the closet of sneaker heads with his signature Nike shoes. Durant and lead designer Leo Chang decided to switch to a high-top shoe for the KDV, which confused sneaker heads—especially after the success of the KD IV.

With the launch of the KD VI, Durant and Chang have decided to go back to low-top. KD is known to have lots of input throughout the design process, often including sentimental features around the shoe. I spoke with Chang to break down Durant's latest signature shoe, the KD VI. I also got the chance to hoop with KD. Check for the alley-oop!

The KD VI retail at $129.
