Colin Kaepernick's Tats Are Much Less Controversial Than They Should Be

Josh Zerkle@JoshZerkleChief Writer IIIJuly 2, 2013

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be appearing in "The Body Issue," the bare-all annual released by ESPN: The Magazine along with other notable athletes. But unlike Gary Player or Kerri Walsh Jennings, we'll be looking for something more significant on Colin.

His...tattoos.

Are we still giving Kaep too much attention for his tattoos? I mean, the guy almost won the Super Bowl and here we are still talking about his body art. Ever since Sporting News columnist David Whitley opined on the matter in November, the issue has followed the Nevada product everywhere. And his "Kaepernicking" end-zone celebration, where he kisses his inked-up bicep, hasn't quelled the issue.

Are you looking forward to seeing more of Kaep's tats in "The Body Issue?" Do you even care?

Join me as I rant on the Niners quarterback in this week's edition of "Let Me Get This Straight." Enjoy my barbed-wire barrage of words in the video above, and leave your own thoughts below in the comments.

As always, thanks for watching.
