First-Pitch: 8:10 pm est.
The Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals battle it out with something to prove. The Mariners are coming off of two straight losses to the rival Texas Rangers and will have to show the rest of the A.L. that they are indeed going to stick around for the rest of the season by beating the surprising K.C. Royals. Seattle sends pitcher Carolos Silva to the mound. Silva hasn’t had much success this season going 1-and-2 with a 7.36 ERA and a WHIP of 1.48.
The Royals counter Silva with pitcher Sidney Ponson. Ponson is already 0-and-4 on the season. His ERA is 7.16 and his WHIP is 1.66.

Here are a few online wagering trends for this game.
The Seattle Mariners are 0-and-6 in their last six games versus a right handed starter.
The Seattle Mariners are 0-and-4 in the last four meetings between these two teams.
The Kansas City Royals are 9-and-1 in their last 10 games versus a team from the A.L. West.
The Kansas City Royals are 0-and-5 in Sidney Ponson’s last five starts.
This game comes down to which trend will break. Will the trend against Sidney Ponson break first with Ponson bringing home a victory? Or, will the Mariners end their losing streak against the K.C. Royals?
Seattle is coming off of two straight losses and should be ready to bounce back because they are the better team overall. From my perspective, taking the Mariners on the money line is absolutely the bet to make for a couple of reasons.
First, Seattle faces a pitcher that has been struggling in Sidney Ponson. Second, Seattle is getting fantastic odds at +110.
The Mariners are still the better team and the Royals start their worst pitcher in their rotation. I have to take Seattle.
I’ll bet the Seattle Mariners at +110 in the sportsbook.
