WWE Monday Night Raw, which aired live from Sioux City, Iowa, opened with Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero announcing the main event between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio.

The Monday, July 1 edition of Raw got started with Daniel Bryan entering the ring. Bryan, who was standing in front of a ladder inside the ring, spoke confidently about his chances at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. As Bryan continued to speak about making history, Sheamus interrupted and walked towards the ring.

Randy Orton walked out next towards and ring and spoke about his desire to capture the WWE championship belt. After Orton finished speaking, Kane, Christian and CM Punk followed by entering the ring. Orton delivered a RKO on Kane before a video package aired looking back to the greatest World Heavyweight Champions of the past.

Match No. 1: Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollings and Roman Reigns vs. Christian, Jimmy and Jey Uso.

Your winners via pin fall: Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollings and Roman Reigns.

The Shield was able to gain revenge after losing to Christian, Jimmy and Jey Uso on Friday Night Smackdown last week. This was an average, six-man tag team match, as there was nothing that stood out to get the crowd truly warmed up for the rest of Raw.

Match Rating: 3/5.

Match No. 2: Dolph Ziggler vs. Jindar Mahal.

Your winner via pin fall: Dolph Ziggler.

It was pretty clear that the crowd was not interested in this match, as it chanted JBL and Jerry Lawler's name. The match was also extremely predictable with Ziggler winning. Overall it was a forgettable match on Raw.

Match Rating: 2/5.

Match No. 3: Randy Orton vs. Kane.

Your winner via pin fall: Kane.

Kane had the instant advantage against Orton with special guest referee Bryan by his side. However, Kane became frustrated with Bryan's unfairness and teased a choke slam but pulled away after thinking it over. It was a longer but slower match, as Bryan kept things interesting as the special guest referee.

Match Rating: 3/5.

Match No. 4: Fandango vs. Sheamus.

Your winner via count out: Sheamus.

Another subpar match on Raw. Fandango looked weak throughout most of the match and left the ring, allowing Sheamus to nail the win. Unfortunately, this match did nothing to help create excitement in the crowd.

Match Rating: 2.5/5.

Match No. 5: Ryback vs. The Miz.

Your winner: The Miz.

Who would have ever thought about Ryback quitting in a match? Well, it only happens on Monday Night Raw. Lame finish to this match, as Ryback told the referee to ring the bell and began limping around the ring. Chris Jericho, who was sitting at the announcer's table, stepped inside the ring and quickly attacked Ryback.

With the exception of the poor finish, this match was decent at best.

Match Rating: 2.5/5.

Mark Henry came out to the entrance way and spoke about John Cena, telling the WWE champion that he will defeat him for the title at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Match No. 6: CM Punk and Curtis Axel vs. Titus O'Neil and Darren Young.

Your winners via pin fall: CM Punk and Curtis Axel.

Solid tag team match with plenty of in-ring action picking up towards the tail end of it. Slowly but surely, the WWE is putting together the pieces for a feud between Punk and Axel. It will be interesting to see what role Paul Heyman will play.

Match Rating: 3/5.

Match No. 7: Alicia Fox vs. Kaitlyn.

Your winner via pin fall: Kaitlyn.

This was a quick match that saw Kaitlyn pick up the victory and get into a confrontation with AJ Lee.

Match Rating: 1.5/5.

Match No. 8: Cody Rhodes vs. Antonio Cesaro.

Your winner via pin fall: Antonio Cesaro.

The crowd appeared to be completely dialed out of Raw at this point. This match was simply used as a lead in to the main event between Cena and Del Rio.

Match Rating: 2/5.

Match No. 9: Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena.

Your winner via pin fall: John Cena.

A pretty solid main event match, as Cena and Del Rio worked well together and did not disappoint.

After the match, Henry taunted Cena inside the ring before exiting backstage as Raw faded to black.

Match Rating: 3.5/5.
