Blue Jays Pitcher R.A. Dickey May in Fact Be the Burger King

R.A. Dickey is the king.

No, he isn't a ruler over a specific province, nor is he taking over for LeBron James as NBA's preeminent magisterial superstar.

Hell, we don't even mean he is related to either Larry or Stephen King. No, we mean the Blue Jays star might be moonlighting as the Burger King.

At least that is what the good people over at MLB Memes seem to think.

Apparently, Dickey was so taken with it that he decided to tweet out that very picture to his fans.

It seems the knuckleball specialist is in a chipper mood, which makes sense considering his latest outing.

The right-hander has been far from the superior Cy Young award winner he was last season, losing eight games so far this season and posting a 4.72 ERA.

A recent three-game stint from June 10-21 saw him give up 14 earned runs, and then came his start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old only gave up two hits and one walk over nine innings of work in a 3-0 win over the division rivals.

Perhaps there is some truth to what Dickey had to say in a recent TSN interview:

Yes, I'm over the hurdle of the neck and back issue that had plagued me for the better part of the first couple of months and I'm thankful for that because it really allows me to do my work in between innings and get back on a normal routine. I'm getting back to mechanically the way that I was last year and that's encouraging.

If Dickey is indeed feeling better, we can expect a great deal more success such as the kind he enjoyed this week.

Who knows, perhaps the ace will consider wearing a crown and robe to the field for his next start? Something tells me this Burger King shtick is good luck.
