The Dallas Mavericks entered the 2013 NBA draft with the desire to trade down and save cap space. They acted quickly, moving from No. 13 to No. 16 in a trade involving the Boston Celtics.

They haven't stopped there.

This may seem like a questionable move, but it fits right into Dallas' desire to save cap space and open up its roster for a run at Dwight Howard.

Jared Cunningham is slated to make $1,208,400 in 2013-14, which displays just how desperate Dallas is to free up cap space. With D-12 more than likely commanding a max contract, there's no question that Dallas will need to open up its pockets.

As for Atlanta, it lands one of the best international players in the draft.

Brazilian center Lucas "Bebe" Nogueira stands at 6'11" with a 7'6" wingspan and possesses experience against top-tier competition at Liga ACB in Spain. While nothing is certain, Nogueira projects to be a very good shot blocker at the next level.

Atlanta needs a center to complement Al Horford, and Nogueira certainly fits the bill.
